• The full paper must be a minimum of 6 pages and a maximum of 8 pages
• Full papers accepted for the SHWA 2026 Conference, after a blind peer-review process, will be published in Lecture Notes in Civil Engineering indexed in ISI Proceedings, SCOPUS, Google Scholar, and Springerlink.
• The cost of publication of the papers is included in your registration fee.

Requirements for publication:

• Original article (never published before).
• Reviewers acceptance.

Using 3rd Party Materials:

Third-party content is defined as any material within the manuscript that is not your original work or material that you have created yourself and published elsewhere in your manuscript. Third party content may consist of text passages, figures, photos, screenshots, etc. and be found in many places such as, but not limited to, the Internet, print and online books and articles, theses, annual reports, conference material, photocopies, course packages, and translations. In particular, you should pay close attention to sensitive images containing identifiable persons, logos, brands/trademarks, images from agencies, or from the Internet as well as text content and references to commercial entities.

To obtain permission to use third-party material in the manuscript visit the Rights Holder website or Copyright Clearance Center Marketplace. If the material is not found, please exert your best efforts to use Permissions Request Form and/or Release Request Form for your request. If the rights-holder issues their own form, please ensure that the document they provide includes all Required Rights listed in the ‘Guide to Obtaining Permissions’ section in Springer Nature Third Party Permissions Guidelines.

Committee on Publication Ethics (COPE) guidelines:

Springer Nature is committed to upholding the integrity of the scientific record, and as a member follows the Committee on Publication Ethics (COPE) guidelines how to deal with potential acts of misconduct. It is therefore important that the work you submit has been carried out in line with international standards for responsible research publication. We advise you to visit and review Book Publishing Policies and Guidelines to adhere to the publishing standards before submitting your manuscript.

Very important!

All authors submitting papers to a contributed volume must grant specific permission to publish the work. This is a legal requirement that arises from provisions of copyright law and acts as additional protection for you. Each corresponding author should print the form, enter the title of the chapter as well as the names of the authors at the top of the form and sign it. Important: details of the chapter authors (sequence, names, name and affiliation of corresponding author) given in the Contributor Agreement should be complete, final and correspond to the details given in the manuscript.

Authors whose contributions have been accepted for poster presentation are kindly requested to prepare their poster according to the following specifications.

Poster format

• Required poster size: B1 (70.7 × 100 cm)
• Orientation: Portrait
• The poster should be designed to ensure good readability from a distance of approximately 1–2 metres.
• We recommend using large fonts, concise text, high-quality figures and tables, and a clear graphical layout.

To ensure a consistent visual identity throughout the conference, authors are strongly encouraged to use the official SHWA 2026 Poster Template.

The template already includes the official conference header, the title and author sections, the paper identification area (Paper ID), and the logos of the organisers and supporting institutions. Authors should keep these elements unchanged and edit only the designated content areas.
